Nordic Innovation and Sustainability Forum (NIS) 2023

FACC-NY was thrilled to organize and host the Nordic Innovation and Sustainability Forum (NIS) 2023 at the prestigious House of Sweden on April 19th. This year marked an expansion of our collaboration, as we joined forces with the Norwegian-American Chamber of Commerce-Mid-Atlantic and the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce - Washington DC.

The event commenced with a warm welcome from the Ambassador of Finland to the U.S., Mikko Hautala, who greeted over 80 participants gathered at the House of Sweden. The primary focus of NIS 2023 was to delve into the latest developments and discussions surrounding sustainability issues.

The forum featured two engaging panels, each tackling critical aspects of sustainability. The first panel, moderated by Kathleen Lane from the American Institute of Architects (AIA), explored the theme of the built environment. The second panel, moderated by Michael McCabe from the Advanced Biofuels Association, delved into the realm of sustainable transportation.

We express our sincere gratitude to the esteemed sponsors who made NIS 2023 possible. Their generous support contributed to the success of the event and demonstrated their commitment to sustainability. We extend our heartfelt thanks to AstraZeneca, Hydro, Neste, Norhybrid, SAS, Skanska, Uponor, and Volvo Group for their valuable contributions.

As we reflect on this year's forum, we eagerly anticipate the future. We look forward to nurturing our collaboration with these dynamic chambers of commerce and planning further joint events that drive innovation and sustainability. Together, we will continue to pave the way for meaningful progress until next year's forum.
